(x) Bank of Israel 'Ideal figures' series, a hand executed essay on board for a 500 mils, 1958, serial number 251170, green and white, girl at left with scythe and corn sheaf, fields in background, signature of Nebenzahl low right
(Pick unrecorded design, see Pick 29 for similar, Arkin page 81 for similar) there are no 500 mils printed for this period. Manuscript signature of Maxim Shamir low left, unique. The design not adopted, a woman soldier was preferred but elements of this essay were used in the adopted design for the 1/2 lira.
