(x) Crusader / Ayyubid, al-Zahir Ghazi, posthumous counterfeit AV Dinar in the style of a Dirham of Aleppo, 3.52g, AH615 (cf. Balog 631; A.836), fine

Al-Zahir Ghazi's posthumous silver coinage is well documented, and was thought to have been issued by the Crusader kingdom of Tripoli. It is unlikely that they also struck this coinage in gold, but this remains an interesting counterfeit.
