1834 (24 Nov.) entire letter to Canton bearing, on the back flap, neat manuscript "10.Cents" in pencil and ink brush strokes on the opposite flap; a rather heavy horizontal filing fold does not really detract from this important cover. This marking is believed to be the payment to the Boat Office at Macao or the rate charged by a private mail company. Photo
