The Commercial Bank of Scotland Limited, specimen £1 and £20, ND (1947), first purple, second blue, both on multicolour underprint, Lord Cockburn at top right, both with red SPECIMEN overprints and once small cancellation hole
(Douglas 53-1,56-1, Banknote Yearbook SC405s, 424as), the £1 has a circular piece missing at low left, and has glue stains in the same area, the missing piece is also included in the lot and appears to have been subjected to colourfastness tests or similar. The £5 is otherwise extremely fine, the £20 about uncirculated (2)
