Bank of Scotland, £20 (2), 5 May 1969, consecutive serial numbers 7/H 0402, brown and red on tan and red underprint, arms at top centre and centre left, coins at top and bottom left
(Banknote Yearbook SC144, Douglas D121-4), this is an emergency printing due to the shortage of correct Portal's paper, the issue was therefore printed on Bank of Scotland 'thistle' watermark paper instead. Two vertical creases as is usual, otherwise a attractive good extremely fine pair of the scarcer later date (2)
