(†) Banco Nacional Ultramarino, C ape Verde, specimen colour trial 10 Escudos, ND (1945), no serial numbers, purple on multicoloured underprint, portrait of Bartolomeu Dias at right, steamship seal at left, arms at lower centre, reverse green on pale blue underprint, allegorical woman looking out at ships, value in ornate guilloches at left and right, overprinted SPECIMEN diagonally in red on obverse, two punch holes
(Pick 42ct), ink letter 'B' in lower right corner, paper clip indentation, otherwise uncirculated, and a very rare example of a colour trial with the issued colour on obverse and a different colour on reverse
