Charles I (1625-49), Tower mint, Shilling, 5.47g, Briot hammered issue, 1638-9, m.m. triangle (over anchor?)/triangle, crowned bust left, lozenge stops, rev. shield over cross moline, tower die, pellet stops (Brooker 739-40; N.2308; S.2862C), a detector find with the usual scratches and knocks, all essential devices clear, nearly very fine, rare.
