Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, 0.61g, small flan type, Huntingdon, Aelfwine, diademed bust left, variety with pellet on neck, rev. +elfþine on hv, voided short cross (FEJ 380 - same dies; Freeman 4, p.283; N.818; S.1175), some porosity but well centred, pleasantly toned and a particularly good reverse, good very fine, a rare type for Huntingdon and an interesting variety with pellet on neck
