A pair of coin scales and complete set of 22 coin weights by Johann Caspar Mittelstenscheid, Lennep, dated 181-, in a maple wood box with two brass clasps, the lid interior with paper maker's label '...von Ihro Grossherzogl. Durchl. im Grossherzogthum Berg...' branded in lower right corner with the usual stamp iustirt with three crowns, the balance with two brass pans attached by green cords, the weights all with the calibration mark of the 'bergische lion', with the usual exception of the three weights for the Louis d'or which are marked 2NS, 1NS and 1AS, with one counterweight, extremely fine condition
