(x) James I (1603-25), second coinage, 1604-19, Rose Ryal, 13.83g, m.m. escallop, king, crowned seated on elaborate throne, portcullis below, rev. shield on double rose (N.2079; S.2613), faint crease mark from 11 o'clock to 5 o clock, a little weakness but generally well struck and with a good proportion of detail visible on the low-relief figure of the king, good very fine and with much lustre
