Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 1.47g, 'Watford' type (BMC 1), Southwark or Sudbury, Gherri, crowned bust right, sceptre before, legends flat, rev. +[gh]er[ri:on]sv[..], cross moline, a fleur in each angle (Mack:- N.873 moneyer unlisted; S.1278), large section of corresponding striking weakness but superb detail to most of the portrait, irregular flan, toned, nearly extremely fine/very fine, only two examples of this moneyer known and this the only example in private hands
