Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, 1.67g, heavy issue, expanding cross type, Bedford, Swota, helmeted bust left, sceptre before, rev. +spot on bedefor, voided short cross with expanding arms extending from central pellet within two circles (Freeman 55; N.823; S.1177), obverse struck from a rusty die, weakness on reverse, nearly very fine, a very rare type for this mint, only one other specimen listed by Freeman; the British Museum example
