Henry VIII (1509-1547), second coinage, 1526-44, Groat, 2.64g, m.m. rose, Roman lettering (Lombardic h) / Lombardic lettering, crowned young bust right, Laker A1, c in henric, open, di' gra' rex agl, z fr', rev. shield over long cross fourchée, saltires in forks (N.1797; S.2337A), dig in obverse field, light scratch to hair, even tone, a particularly pleasing specimen, good very fine, a very rare early piece with an almost pattern like look to it, especially rare with this obverse legend
