Anglo-Gallic, Edward the Black Prince (as Lord of Aquitaine 1362-69), third issue, Pavillion d'or, or Noble Guyennois, 4.44g, Bordeaux, ed po gns reg angl pncs aq, Prince standing beneath Gothic portico, sword in right hand, left hand raised, two leopards at his feet, two ostrich feathers at each side, all curved to right, all within a plain inner circle, rev. dns aivto z ptecio me z iipo spavit cor mevm b, cross quernée within ornamental quatrefoil, e in centre, leopards in first and fourth angles (Elias 154c; F.5; Schneider 52), slightly uneven strike with some extra metal between 12 and 3 o'clock and weakness between 4 and 6 o'clock, very fine, very rare without the usual decoration around the inner circle on the obverse
