3202 Corporal John Mullane, born Malta, 1872; enlisted in the 16th Lancers, April 1890; promoted Lance Corporal, June 1896; served with the 16th Lancers in South Africa, 12.2.1900- 14.3.1902; taken Prisoner of War at Fredericksdal, 2.12.1901; discharged, 17.7.1902, after 12 years and 88 days with the Colours.
