8015 Private Richard Samuel Davie, born Lambeth; enlisted in the Royal West Kent Regiment; transferred to the London Regiment, and served with the 1st Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) during the Great War; killed in action on the Western Front, 7.10.1916, when the Battalion was involved in the attack on the Spectrum Trench, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
