Lieutenant-Colonel Ronald Ireland Gordon Clark, enlisted in the Gordon Highlanders, and served as part of a section of just one Officer and 22 men from the Gordons in Palestine whilst on attachment to the 2nd Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment ; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Royal Army Service Corps, 5.10.1939; promoted Lieutenant, 29.11.1939; Captain, 1.9.1943.
