940 Private Thomas Frederick Howlett, born Guernsey, c.1887; served with the 1st Battalion, Royal Guernsey Light Infantry during the Great War; killed in action on the Western Front, 1.12.1917 during the Battle of Cambrai, and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial, France.
