Second Lieutenant Alfred Martin James Tucker, born Melbourne, Victoria, 1893; enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force, 20.8.1914; promoted Acting Sergeant, 28.8.1914; served with the 10th Battalion during the Great War; wounded at Gallipoli by a bullet wound to the head and right leg, 29.4.1915; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, 1.10.1916.
