1695 Band Sergeant Henry Waterfield born Glasgow, 1853; enlisted in the 63rd Foot, July 1870; promoted Bandsman, February 1876; served with the Regiment in Afghanistan, August 1880 to September 1881, and in Egypt, September to November 1882; promoted Lance Corporal, August 1884; Corporal, October 1886; Band Sergeant, August 1889; discharged, September 1897, after 27 years and 75 days with the Colours.
