#223, 5c Chocolate, an extraordinary quality mint example, perfectly centered within uncharacteristically wide margins, sumptuously rich color and a deeply etched impression on brilliantly fresh paper, pristine o.g., n.h., an extremely fine gem for the perfectionist; 1999 PF certificate and a 2008 PSE certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $3,300.00 as 95 and $11,500.00 as 98); one of only four to have been graded 95J, and given the mathematically precise centering this particular stamp possesses we are surprised that it was not awarded 98J status.
