#190, 30c Full black, enormously large margins all around and being incredibly well centered within these impressive borders, especially intense color and impression on fresh paper, o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine.[cr][lf][cr][lf]Both the 15c and, to a lesser extent, the 30c 1879 American Bank Note issues are values from the series that seem to be more readily available in nice collectible condition than others. However, the real challenge is to find one that is not just ""another"" example, but one that really stands out in terms of its overall condition and eye appeal. The example offered here of the Thirty Cent value is one such exception to the rule, as its centering and size of margins are truly amazing. Plus, it possesses an overall freshness and brilliance few others boast.
