#500, 2c Deep rose, Ty. Ia, a striking mint example of this scarce and difficult stamp, being incredibly well centered within margins of enormous size which are most uncharacteristic, just as impressive is this stamp´s spectacular deep rose color and a marvelous overall ""pinkish"" plate wash, pristine o.g., n.h., extremely fine gem.[cr][lf][cr][lf]While we have sold many dozens of Scott #500´s in our auctions over the years, including many choice ones, none comes close to the overall quality and tremendous eye-appeal of this special stamp. Its color and size of margins are truly amazing.[cr][lf][cr][lf]Accompanied by a 1990 PF certificate, as well as a 2008 PSE certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $4,200.00 as 95 and $10,100.00 as 98); the sole example to have been graded Superb 95 Jumbo, with no other grading higher with a Jumbo designation; ex-Morris, Vreeland.[cr] Estimate US$ 4,250-5,000
