Queen Victoria
1837 (23 June) mourning entire sent from Queen Victoria to the King of the Sicilies informing him of the death of her uncle, King William IV, at 2.12 a.m. on 20th June 1837 and of her Accession to the Throne. The letter has been folded into a small format (about 45mm wide) and was closed by two black wax seals and black ribbon. The letter is signed by Victoria, "Sir my Brother, Your Majesty's good sister Victoria R". A few paper weaknesses along the fold line but still in very fine condition. Photo

The form of address between fellow royals was to call them either brother or sister
