(x) Bermuda Government, 1 shilling, 1 March 1939, serial number W 200008, green, pink and red-orange, head of George VI in circular frame at right, value in green rosette at left, reverse blank
(Pick 6, BG B6, Aspen p.193), perforated CANCELLED, uncirculated and an exceptional rarity. Only 300000 printed due to the expected shortage of coin during Wartime. The notes were printed by Bradbury Wilkinson and delivered to Bermuda in May 1939. The coinage shortage never materialised and the notes were destroyed. It is believed approximately eleven sets survived. Uncirculated and very attractive
