1913-18 MCA £10 purple and royal blue, a complete sheet of sixty split into blocks of thirty and twenty-four, and a strip of six, all affixed to 1927 (30 Mar.) document and cancelled by "registrar of the high court/blantyre, nyasaland" oval datestamp in violet, all the relevant plate flaws present including [12] broken crown and scroll, [50] bullet-holes and [54] damaged leaf at bottom right; two stamps affected by punch hole. A truly remarkable franking and a major exhibition item. Photo

Note: The document shows duty payable on the £60,000 Share Capital of a Company. The Stamp Duty charged was at 1% - £600 was due = one sheet of the £10.
