(x) Egyptian Postal Currency, Israeli handstamps, specimen postal orders for proposed use in Egypt, Sudan and Palestine, 500 milliemes, green, 650 milliemes, blue and 1 Egyptian pound, brown, all King Farouk top centre and counterfoil at left, red Arabic overstamp and the first two with circular Israeli handstamp low left
good extremely fine and rare. These issues were intended for use in Palestine due to a shortage of official currency post World War II, but have been overprinted by the Israeli forces occupying Sinai (3)
