F size registered envelope from Limassol to Larnaca, bearing 188 CC 1pi. rose strip of three and 1882 "½" on ½pi. emerald-green (torn prior to use) thrice cancelled with squared-circle datestamp and showing, at lower left corner, a superb strike of the rare large double-lined "R" handstamp incorporating "registered/cyprus" oval datestamp in red (only recorded in use in 1883), arrival datestamp (4.1) on reverse; the envelope with light crease towards foot, nevertheless a rare franking and exceptional cover illustrated on the front cover of the Cyprus Handbook.
