1937 selection of fifteen covers or cards, including (26 Jan.) Belgian Congo-Brussels flight, crashed on landing at Oran, envelope franked 5f. with framed "parvenu souille/besmeurd toekgekomen" cachet; (20 April) Brisbane-South Africa flight by Mrs Bonney, forced landing at Muntuk, Netherlands East Indies, endorsed "Emergency Landing" and signed by the pilot; (28 July) flight from Brussels to Paris, caught fire and crashed near Bruges, envelope franked Netherlands 12½c. with "avion accidente" cachet; (3 Aug.) Buenos Aires to New York flight, disappeared on approach to Cristobal, two envelopes (one registered), stamps floated off with four line "Recovered from/ Plane N.C. 15065/Aug. 3, 1937/Cristobal, C.Z." cachet; (16 Nov.) Lichtenfels to Manchester flight, crashed at Ostende, ambulance cover to Germany, etc., good to fine
