1875 (18 March) envelope addressed to New Zealand franked 1871-76 25c. blue (2 pairs) with Paris star cancellations, blue "etats unis/cherbourg" c.d.s. (13.4), red New York (26.4) and "returned for/postage", "2" handstamp and Auckland arrival of 10 Aug., re-addressed on arrival and with Westport c.d.s. (14.8) on reverse; some small faults but a scarce and much travelled envelope to a very unusual destination. Photo
