A2, additionally franked 1d. black, Plate III, CG, just touched at top to large margins, showing portion of the adjoining stamp at right, red Maltese Cross cancellations, dated 21 May 1840 and used from Bolton to Groby, Leicestershire, dispatch c.d.s. on reverse, annotation on front panel and very minor peripheral faults, fine.
