1856 (8 Aug.) entire from Calcutta "Per Nubias" and "From Alexandria to Trieste by Austrian Steamer" to Genoa, bearing pair in blue and red (touched in places) each clearly cancelled "B/1" in octagon and additionally tied by "10" rate handstamp, showing sender's cachet, framed "india paid" and "D.A.a.L" handstamps, all on face, the reverse with despatch and arrival datestamps; the entire with two heavy filing creases, one of which crosses the pair, and other small imperfections.
