Covers and Cancellations
1929 (23 Nov.) envelope to Cape Town carried on the Oldsmobile Expedition from Ghanzi, bearing 1925-27 1d. (2), one cancelled by the special "oldsmobile/kalahari mail." datestamp with a further strike alongside, the other cancelled at Gaberones on 29 November; a few small faults though very rare. The few other covers known from the expedition were posted from South or South West Africa, this being the sole known cover from the expedition bearing Bechuanaland stamps. Photo

Note: The expedition crossed the Kalahari from Gobabis to Ghanzi, then on to Molepolole and Gaberones in Bechuanaland, and finally to Johannesburg
