1904 (6 Dec.) envelope from Kanye to England, bearing British Bechuanaland 1888 3d. lilac and black bisected vertically and Protectorate 1897-1902 1d. lilac sharing fine c.d.s. "6 de" inverted) and with manuscript signature "Dion Solomon/P.M." of the postmaster below; first two lines of the address inked over though extremely rare with only four example of the Kanye bisect recorded, two of which are in institutional collections leaving only this and one other in private hands.
