1897 (16 Jan.) envelope from Vryburg to London, bearing 1888 2d. lilac and black pair sharing a fine strike of the "vryburg/p.o./bechuanaland" intaglio mailbag seal handstamp with a further strike at left alongside Vryburg c.d.s. with year date quoted as "19", Cape Town c.d.s. (27.1) on reverse; the face panel with two light age marks though a remarkable cover, being the only recorded example of a mailbag seal handstamp used as a cancellation in British Bechuanaland.
