Tripura, Mukut Manikya (1489-90), Tanka, 10.56g, undated, citing Queen Machtri, linear inscription on both sides, Śri Machya/ndi Charana/ Charana Cha/kravarttinyau, rev. Śri Machtri/ Mahadevi/ Śri Śri Mukut/ Manikyau (RB. 42; KM. 29), good very fine, of the highest rarity


Little is known about Mukut Manikya. His coins, known from three types, are all extremely rare. This one has a reference to the goddess, Chandi, the only one in the whole Tripura series. RB mentions this coin as the sole example of the type known to them.
