(†) Government of the East Africa Protectorate, a colour test for the 100 rupees of 1 July 1912, on a 20 rupees of the same year, black on light blue, value in tablet at centre and at left and right, titled "Appendix E" and dated "5th May 1913",
(Pick 3 for note type, Pick 5 for intended colour, although the note issued was red-brown), unique, important and interesting, especially due to the variation in colour, the red-brown eventually used on the 100 rupees note was originally intended for the 500 rupees
