(†) Government of Malta, obverse two-part die proofs for the 2/- and 5/- of 1918, black and white, George V at right, value in tablet at centre and at low left, the first part of each shows the main design, the second part the underprint (reversed), both sides show printers secret marks
(Pick 9 and 10 for types), backed on gridded paper, titled "appendix A" and "appendix B" respectively, both dated 9 December 1918, some stains and scuffs but generally extremely fine or better, and very rare (4)
