Catuvellauni, uninscribed coinage, c.50 BC, gold Quarter Stater, 1.25g, crossed wreath, rev. horse right, wheel above, ring pellet linked with spoke to horse, right, ring pellets below (Mack -; cf Rudd ABC 2463, obverse only; BMC -; cf S.43), a new type, apparently not previously noted, extremely fine, extremely rare

Found near Epping, Essex, 2010

The obverse of this coin matches the obverse of ABC 2463, which Rudd calls the 'Harlow wheel type'. The reverse though is quite different with a neatly executed horse with a large ring pellet linked to it's chest and two ring pellets below the horse.
