The Prince Regent's Royal Ayr Militia
An exceptionally rare and very fine example the silver plated back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a star of the Order of the Thistle overlaid with a circular strap, 'P. R. Royal Ayr Militia' in the centre on a domed ground the Prince of Wales's crest and attendant thistle sprays, the whole of the centre on a ground of green enamel, complete with original leather liner, c.1830-1854, excellent condition
