A very rare and fine quality example the gilt back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising an elongated silver star overlaid with a crowned gilt circle 'Virtutis Namurcensis Praemium' enclosing the Harp and Maid, all upon a blue enamel ground, below the circle across the bottom ray of the star, a short gilt scroll 'XVIII', below the star sprays of shamrock and the Sphinx/Egypt honour, c.1830-1840, excellent condition
