Corporal William Hogg, King's Barns, Fife, c.1793; enlisted in the Royal Artillery, February 1812, served with the Royal Horse Artillery in the Peninsula and in Lieutenant-Colonel W. Smith's 'F' Troop during the Waterloo Campaign,16-18.6.1815; promoted Bombardier, October 1824; Corporal, April 1832; discharged, April 1835, after 25 years and 99 days' service.
