Banbury Bank (Bignell, Heydon & Wyatt), pull of a £15, no date (c.1784-96), no serial number, black and white on watermarked paper, sun emblem at top left, value at lower left and right, printed in 1919 on Gillett & Co. Bank Note paper
(not seen, see Outing 72a for partnership name), very fine and very rare. this note was printed ar J.A.Gillett´s direction from an old copper plate found in the Rectory garden pond at Broughton when it was cleaned in 1906. This plate was lent to J.A.Gillett by the Rev.C.B.Bradford who allowed him to have the 36 impressions, of which this is one.
