"Australian Association for the Advancement of Science." printed envelope from South Brisbane to Port Chalmers, New Zealand, bearing Sideface 2d. blue (tear at top) cancelled "215" in bars with c.d.s. alongside and showing, at foot, a superb strike of the "Saved from wreck of the/"wairarapa" handstamp in blue, Auckland c.d.s. (3.11) and four other transit c.d.s. on reverse; surely one of the finest covers recovered from this wreck. Also 18 October damaged envelope similarly franked and handstamped, and with Auckland c.d.s. for 10 November. Photo
