Brisbane datestamp and accompanied by a letter from Capt. Crawford to Gordon Kaye congratulating him on acquiring "a very fine example of the 4d. retouch, a great rarity and very valuable stamp", the second in a deep shade with small part cancellation at top; also a third stamp showing doubling of whole of "pence", again with small part cancellation at top; a fine and very rare trio with the first ex Winch and Kaye, and the last ex Ginn and Kaye.
