Palestine British Civil Administration 1920 (1 Sept.) First Local Overprint - Jerusalem 1 First Setting 1m. and 4m. blocks [2-10/110-118] and 4m. block [122-130/230-238] being the complete setting with the first, eleventh and twelfth vertical rows officially removed, plus 1m. and 4m. marginal vertical strips [12/120] being the twelfth vertical row; a few split perfs, fine mint. S.G. 16, 19; £1850+ Estimate £ 600-800 Note: The vertical rows 1 and 11 were removed from the sheets before the stamps were sent to the Post Office for sale because of the errors found on them. To remove the eleventh row one has to remove the twelfth but this row was deemed sufficiently free of error to be saleable. A post office sheet was therefore 180 + 20.
