China1898-1910 Chinese Imperial PostCovers1899 (9 Oct.) local envelope bearing 2c. deep red tied by a fine strike of Kiaochow bilingual oval with a large "T" below, a further strike of the Kiaochow oval (21.10) on reverse; horizontal folding crease and some edge wear. Apparently addressed, via the I.M. Customs, to a sailor on board a ship in port, undelivered and returned to sender
