Cayman Islands The John Byl Collection Jamaica Used In Cayman Islands "grand cayman/post office" oval datestamp in violet (Type 1) Covers The earliest recorded cover bearing Jamaican adhesives used in the Cayman Islands 1891 (8 Apr.) envelope to Kingston, Jamaica, bearing 1/2d. green (2) sharing a fine complete strike, the reverse showing sender´s dated cachet of F.N. Lambert & Co. (Georgetown law firm) in bright blue, Montego Bay (13.4) and Kingston (14.4) squared-circle datestamps; the envelope opened-out and with some faults in places.
