Ragama, Prisoner of War currency during the Boer War for Ceylon, a set comprising 5 cents, serial number 4, black on a pale pink background, value within belt at left, ´CEYLON ICE AND COLD STORAGE CO. LTD´ in legend, arms top centre, two manuscript signatures low right, also 10 cents, pale green, number 4, 25 cents, brown, number 87, 50 cents, pink-red, number 5, 1 rupee, green, number 3 and 5 rupees, lilac, number 2, all are dated 1st August 1901(Ineson 230-235), the 25 almost very fine, the balance are fresh and original, generally good extremely fine and with very low numbers, possibly a presentation set, extremely fare and a desirable and historic group (6)
