"Field" envelope addressed from Kuching to Birmingham and flown by the "Air Union" flight from Marseilles to London, franked at 18c., showing "by air mail" label at upper left with GB ½d. applied and cancelled on arrival alongside and, on reverse, Singapore datestamp for 1 April with manuscript notation "Flown by special arrangement, after suspension of the regular service, and delivered two days before ordinary mails - as shown by postmarks" signed by Field.
